God is so good!
Partway through a summer season busy with FIFA travelers and holiday visitors, we celebrated God’s goodness at our Annual Appreciation BBQ in August. The 30 volunteers and supporters who gathered at Dennis and Janet’s home for food and fun also enjoyed as we shared together about our service at the Chapel. This is the 8th year our faithful friends Darryl & Donna Boyd have supplied us with delicious burgers, homemade salads and special desserts, including Darryl’s mom Iris’s famous butter tarts—all to our hearts delight. Blessings and kudos to them for serving us so royally!

One of the summer’s highlights came when a young woman walked into the Chapel and declared that 7 years ago we’d “saved her life” when she’d arrived as a refugee claimant, friendless and penniless. She came to thank us for welcoming her, feeding her, listening to her story, and connecting her with the Salvation Army’s Belkin House, which provided for her needs and helped her get a work permit. We were blessed to know that by welcoming her and connecting her with Belkin House, we’d helped her start building the new life God has given her here.
We’re very grateful for all the prayers offered on our behalf and all the donations we receive from supporters of our ministry. Without them, we simply couldn’t do what we do.
