Traveler Aid

As part of our work at the airport, YVR Chapel staff offer assistance to airport passengers. During our work hours, chaplains and the occasional volunteer are able and willing to aid airport visitors with a variety of helps. Our focus is providing a sacred space for prayer and conversation, but as chaplains and volunteers we also seek to provide welcome and assistance to passengers of all faiths and no faith.

YVR Chapel is located on Level 2 (street level) in International Arrivals. We’re across from Tim Hortons, beside the exit. If you enter the airport on Level 3, just follow the signs for International Arrivals and take the escalator or elevator to Level 2. We offer passengers and others

• Comfort when dealing with bereavement and loss
• Hope and direction in crisis (e.g., stranded, deported)
• Support for those seeking asylum in Canada

We assist visitors in

• Finding their way around the airport
• Getting a SIM card or charging their phone
• Making the best use of a layover
• Finding local transportation and accommodation
• Connecting with local churches, mosques, synagogues, etc.

We support those with a phobia of flying

• Through our course “Flying Without Fear”
