Hello Friends of the YVR Chapel,

Greetings from our Chapel Team that continues to grow. Thank God that we are now back to full strength from Covid days, and we have 15 chaplains to serve along with our faithful volunteers.😊 During the recent holidays, we all worked together at the December Drop-In to welcome more than 800 employees and passengers to our facility (see photos below). They enjoyed tons of homemade treats, thanks to new immigrants at White Rock Baptist Church, and our signature apple cider…. and all the sights and fragrances of the season! It was truly a joyful time! And by the way, our yearly statistics show an increase of persons visiting the Chapel from 8,000 in 2024 to 10,000 in 2025. We are grateful to serve that many people at the YVR Chapel! 🤗

A popular recent feature at the Chapel has been Mark Anderson’s creation of a ‘Question of the Week’ bulletin board, for employees and passengers to share their thoughts (see photo) and for us to get to know them better. The questions vary from simple ones like “What foods/movies do you like most?”, or “What do you most like about the Winter Olympics?”, to more thoughtful ones like, “What would you do with a million dollars?”, or “What does love mean to you?” The question, “What’s one thing you really like about YVR?” brought these interesting responses:

1. Amazing First Nations art!
2. Great architecture and lively atmosphere
3. Feeling of flying away for vacation or to see family
4. Making friends from different cultures
5. The Chapel – a place of peace
6. Friendly people and staffs
7. Beautiful working environment
8. Serving as a Green Coat
9. Asher – the therapy dog!

Upcoming Events:

1. Our AGM will be held on Friday, March 27, 10:30am in a YVR Boardroom upstairs – all are welcome!
2. YVR is gearing up for the FIFA World Cup ⚽ in June & July in our city, and they are grateful for our prayer support! 🙏
